Community & Public Involvement
One of the main goals of the project is to involve the public at the highest level and make the process as transparent as possible. Throughout the project, there will be a number of efforts made to ensure that the final products represent the needs and desires of the residents and traveling public.
- Public meetings will be held at three different times over the course of the project. At the meetings, the public can learn about and comment on the project and ask to be added to a mailing list. The Public Meetings page will provide PDF files of public meeting agendas as well as the summaries of those meetings ordered from most recent to oldest. Any supporting material, such as PowerPoint slide shows, will be placed on the page when that material becomes available.
- Project Advisory Committee meetings will be held regularly to help guide the project. It is expected the 10 meetings will occur during the entire project. - One neighborhood walk will occur with residents and business owners to get an on-the-ground perspective of the issues and complexities of the project.
- Project newsletters will be developed to provide written updates and details of project happenings. Project newsletters will be posted to the Project Documents page as they become available.
- This project website informs of details and provides regular updates of project happenings. This is also a venue for members of the public to provide comments. Public comments can be made using the Contact Us page.
